Mia & Opa

One of the best parts of being a dad is seeing Oma & Opa with their Granddaughter.  Here are some of Opa & Mia's times together over the first 3 years.  Happy Father's Day Opa, thanks for everything you do for us, can't wait for those tomatoes!

Love at first sight!

First day home.

She loved her Opa right away.

Kye was protective right from the start.

Can't let a little baby get in the way of dessert!

Mama Bear looks a little kooky...

They both look pretty content.

First trip to the beach.

Opa can sleep anywhere, anytime....

She was a little unsure of the hammock.

Oh, oh, getting ready to barf?

Cuddle buddles.

Taking after Michaelanne,  "That's Opa's seat!".

Mia's First Fish

Oma & Opa treated us to a trip to Florida back in February that Mia still talks about.  It was her first flight and first time catching a fish and her first real boat ride.  We took the glass bottom boat tour from the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.  Oma and Shauna tried not to throw up, I chased Mia around and tried to keep her from falling overboard and not irritating the other passengers and Opa watched the fish.  Even so, fun was had by all.  Oma and Opa looked after Mia and took her fishing one day while Shauna and I drove down to Key West by ourselves.  She caught 5 or 6 little buggers, Opa was jealous!   She was very excited and proud of herself.  Opa was too.

 Blast off!!!

Gazing out at the ocean on the glass bottom boat.

Poor Mommy, concentrating on not getting sick

Can't believe how long her hair got.

Riding the waves on the way out, her favorite part.

Mia and the white whale poolside.

Mia the movie star....

Easter Egg Hunt 2012

The Brickshire Easter egg hunt was a lot of fun this year.  Mia was excited about it all day long and couldn't wait to hunt for some eggs.  The animals were the biggest hit though, especially the baby pig, I think Mia takes after her Mommy there, she loves her animals!  She played hard, we were about the last to leave as she found her Stay & Play friend Trevor and others playing on the slides on our way home.  I guess she had a lot of sugar to burn.

What's left of her cupcake.

Cake give away game, luckily, she didn't win.  Way too much sugar at this point already....

The little duckling with a little duckling!

 Mia's friend Zoey.

The 3-week old piglet was a huge hit!

Another pony ride!
